Goldbelt Heritage Foundation Board of Directors

Goldbelt Heritage Foundation Board members are building a Clan House where Tlingit language and culture are alive, using ancient knowledge of our elders and all the tools and technology available today.

Andrea Cadiente-Laiti

Andrea Cadiente-Laiti is a member of the Goldbelt, Incorporated Board of Directors. She was elected in 1997 and currently also serves as President of Goldbelt Heritage Foundation. Currently, she is Patient Advocate with Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC).

Micalyne (Miki) Kunz McGhee is Grand President of the Alaska Native Sisterhood. She is Tlingit, Raven, Coho Clan, Clan House “The House in Front.” Her Tlingit name is Kintóow, after her grandmother Cecelia Kunz.  She has worked for Goldbelt, Inc. since 1993.  She formerly worked for the Holland America Baranof Hotel for 12 years. She was the lead drummer for the Juneau Tlingit Dancers for 20 years, and is a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Juneau. She is a member of the steering  committee for the Juneau Youth Suicide Prevention Coalition, and on the board of the Statewide Suicide Prevention Council. A member of the Alaska Native Sisterhood since birth, she served as President and Vice President of the Juneau Junior ANS, Sgt. at Arms of ANS Grand Camp, and President and every other office of ANS Camp 2.

Robert Loescher is owner of Loescher & Associates, LLC , a consulting firm in economic development and industry. He is a member of the Tlingit (Eagle) Tribe, Chookandei Clan of Glacier Bay and Hoonah, Alaska. He is a delegate to the General Assembly of the Central Council of the Tlingit & Haida Indians of Alaska, and a member of Juneau ANB Camp No.2.  He was formerly employed with Alaska Legal Services, Tlingit Haida Central Council-Office of Development Planning, Executive Director of Tlingit and Haida Regional Housing Authority, Tlingit and Haida Regional Electrical Authority and Tlingit and Haida Housing Development Corporation, and President & CEO of Sealaska Corporation.

Al McKinley served as an auditor for the US Forest Service and the Bureau of Indian Affairs until his retirement. He is Tlingit, Eagle, Wooshkeetaan (Shark) Clan. He has actively served in the Alaska Native Brotherhood, including two terms as Grand President (1995, 1996), 16 years as President of ANB Camp 2, and seven years as ANB Grand Camp Treasurer. He also served eight years as President of the Juneau Tlingit & Haida Community Council, and was a member of the original Goldbelt, Incorporated interim board.

Trudy Skan is a member of the Goldbelt, Incorporated Board of Directors. She was elected in  2004 and serves as Corporate Secretary. Currently, she is Administrative Assistant with Sealaska Corporation, and has served as Administrative Assistant for Tlingit Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska Social Services and Economic Development. She was Office Manager for Skan-Alaska Contractors, Inc. from 1990 to 2000.  Skan is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School (1967), and of the University of Alaska-Southeast (1987). She was Executive Vice President for the Tlingit Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska from 1994-1998, and has served as Delegate to the Tlingit Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska General Assembly. She is a member of the Alaska Native Sisterhood and the Juneau Lions Club.
